Sapphire & Diamond Ring

Late Victorian to Edwardian era, sapphire and diamond twist shank ring made with 18kt yellow gold and ornamented with platinum. 3.26 pennyweight, size 7, re-size ok 12.04mm wide at the top, shank tapers from 2.4 to 1.4mm and has a platinum top on the shoulders with bead set diamonds. The center stone is bezel set. The ring has a maker's trademark "SB &S, Ld". 1 Ceylon type oval faceted natural sapphire measures app 10.7 x 9.15 x 5.39mm, est 4.00ct. Gemewizard: violetish Blue, light tone, slightly grayish. VS type II clarity, GIA. Appears to be unheated. Not abraded, app 35% brilliancy and 35%windowing. 6 rose cut, 1 single cut and l missing dia mond with a current weight of app 0.05ctw. The ring is in good condition commensurate with its age and normal wear.
