Paste Rivière

Late Georgian/Early Victorian era rivière necklace featuring faceted paste stones set in closed/foiled silver collet settings with a 15k gold wash backing. There are 4 rock crystal quartz stones, 2 on each side of the paste clasp, that were likely added in antiquity.

French rooster hallmark. Measures 18” wearable length, all stones. Stone sizes graduate from a central 11.5mm by 11mm down to a 7.6mm by 7mm. Total weight is 51 grams.
